The Constitution Generals will head out on the road to face off against Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Constitution will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 529th, while Franklin Towne is ranked 210th).
Constitution can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They blew past Penn Treaty 53-31. That looming 53-31 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Constitution yet this season.
Meanwhile, Franklin Towne unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost to Little Flower Catholic for Girls at home by a decisive 35-18 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Franklin Towne has scored all season.
The losing side was boosted by Meiara Staton, who scored nine points.
Constitution's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for Franklin Towne, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Constitution didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Franklin Towne when the teams last played back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 39-35 victory.
