Brookstone has gone 8-2 against Heritage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Brookstone Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Heritage Hawks at 5:00 p.m. Brookstone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
Brookstone barely beat Shaw the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Brookstone put the hurt on Shaw with a sharp 12-2 win on Wednesday. Considering the Cougars have won six matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

| 03/11/25 @ Central | 1 |

The team relied heavily on Brennan Neal, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Charles Briscoe, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Brookstone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central.
Robby Knight put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.
In other batting news, Landon Justice made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Asher Durham was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Brookstone is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Heritage's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Brookstone has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. It's a different story for Heritage, though, as they've only averaged .295. Will they be able to contain Brookstone's hitters?
Brookstone was able to grind out a solid victory over Heritage in their previous matchup back in February, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookstone since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
