For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Borrego Springs has posted against Calexico Mission since February 15, 2017.
Leading Borrego Springs to victory were Michelle Llamas and Abigail Gonzalez. Llamas dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Gonzalez dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Llamas has scored all season. Dulce Morales was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Borrego Springs' victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Calexico Mission, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Borrego Springs will head out on the road to face off against Warner at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Warner's defense has only allowed 23.5 points per game this season, so Borrego Springs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
