Basketball Recap: Orcutt Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Orcutt Academy won the last time they faced Cabrillo, and Elizabeth Johnson did her part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Orcutt Academy Spartans' way against the Cabrillo Conquistadores on Tuesday as the Orcutt Academy Spartans made off with a 48-22 win thanks in part to Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. The game was her 17th in a row with at least ten points.

Lylah Garcia was another key player, putting up three points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Orcutt Academy, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.5 points. As for Cabrillo, they moved to 7-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Orcutt Academy and Cabrillo will both be playing Nipomo the next time they take the court. Orcutt Academy will host Nipomo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Cabrillo will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th.
