Baseball Recap: Osborne Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Osborne was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Campbell Spartans by a score of 11-8. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Spartans last Tuesday, they had to take a 13-4 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Cedric Gorman, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Stanley Vidal, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Osborne's win bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Campbell, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-17.

Osborne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Campbell, they will challenge Lovett at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
