Mills is 0-10 against Capuchino since April of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Mills will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Balboa on Saturday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Buccaneers with a sharp 11-1 victory.
Hagan Chan made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Chan was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nick Lafon, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Tyler Yuan, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Capuchino strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over Mission. That 17-run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.
Morgan Meehan got the start for Capuchino and what a start it was: he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Cole Douglas came in to relieve Meehan and was airtight, giving up no runs, hits or walks in his an inning pitched.
At the plate, Nathan Meyer was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of William Ferreira, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Capuchino always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Capuchino's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Mills, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
