Sacramento has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Natomas Nighthawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Sacramento came up short against El Camino and fell 54-42.
Despite the loss, Sacramento got a solid performance out of La ne Dunn, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Dunn is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. E'Myiah Morris was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.
Natomas suffered their biggest loss since December 29, 2023 on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 65-22 loss at the hands of Christian Brothers. While losing is never fun, Natomas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 927th, while Christian Brothers is ranked 112th).
Sacramento has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Natomas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.
