After flying high against the Galeton Tigers last Wednesday, the Cameron County Raiders came back down to earth. Cameron County received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 35-19 to Austin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cameron County has scored all season.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trinity Earle, who scored three points along with 12 rebounds.
Cameron County's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.5 points per game. As for Austin, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cameron County will square off against Otto-Eldred at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Otto-Eldred focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for Austin, they will head out on the road to face off against Galeton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Galeton comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
