It was a good run, but the Manheim Township Blue Streaks unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Central Dauphin by a score of 37-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Manheim Township has scored all season.
Central Dauphin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayla Fletcher out in front who scored ten points along with three steals. Fletcher also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Olivia Green was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds.
Manheim Township's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-1. As for Central Dauphin, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
Manheim Township will be playing in front of their home fans against J.P. McCaskey at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Central Dauphin's road trip will continue as they head out to face Harrisburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd. Harrisburg comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
