If the Washington Tigers were riding high off their 79-39 takedown of the Max S. Hayes Lakers last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Washington's tough 84-59 loss to Green on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. Washington has struggled against Green recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Washington still got an impressive performance from Chris Knight, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds. Knight's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyce Thigpen, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Washington's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for Green, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Washington will head out on the road to square off against Perry at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Perry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 420th, while Washington is ranked 80th). As for Green, they will be playing at home against Hoover at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hoover focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Friday.
