The Buchholz Bobcats will face off against the Bishop Kenny Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buchholz is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
It was a proper cat-fight when Buchholz faced off against Forest on Tuesday. Buchholz blew past Forest 13-6. Considering the Bobcats have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Reed Thomas looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Buchholz got a massive performance out of Blake Brewer, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance gave Brewer a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Zac Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Buchholz kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forest only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, Bishop Kenny came up short against North Marion on Friday and fell 5-1. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bishop Kenny saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Green, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Buchholz's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Kenny, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
Bishop Kenny's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Buchholz hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. It's a different story for Bishop Kenny, though, as they've only averaged .192. Will they be able to contain Buchholz's hitters?
Buchholz came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Kenny in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Does Buchholz have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Kenny turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
