The Pioneer Patriots came tearing into Tuesday's game with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 47-23 margin over Dixon. Pioneer might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pioneer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Naomi Navarro, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Navarro has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Gill, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.
Pioneer pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.67 points. As for Dixon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pioneer will face off against Casa Roble at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Casa Roble has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9. Dixon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
