King City is a perfect 9-0 against Marina since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Mariners at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (King City has five straight wins, Marina has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
King City's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Greenfield. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Joel Pina Jr made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Pina Jr was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacoby Chavez, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Roman (RJ) Ayon also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Meanwhile, Marina came up short against King City on Thursday and fell 6-3.
Leonel Alvarado and Milo Scally stepped up to the plate in a big way. Alvarado went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run, while Scally went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
The victory got King City back to even at 5-5. As for Marina, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
King City's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Mustangs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Marina, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will King City continue to outrun the ball?
King City beat Marina 6-3 in their previous meeting on Thursday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
