Turlock Christian has struggled against Millennium recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Faith Hayes was Turlock Christian's leading scorer, having posted five points. Hayes also led the team in rebounds with five.
Millennium found their leader in underclassman Sarah Digiallonardo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 22 rebounds. Nichole Clark was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven assists and three steals.
Turlock Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Millennium, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turlock Christian on the road again on Tuesday and play against Elliot Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Elliot Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Turlock Christian in California (Elliot Christian is ranked 607th, while Turlock Christian is ranked 1328th). As for Millennium, they will head out on the road to challenge Venture Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Venture Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Saturday.
