The Tri County Area Vikings fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Lakeview by a score of 59-48 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tri County Area also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Leading Tri County Area to victory were Connor Henry and Brennan Grabinski. Henry scored 14 points along with three steals, while Grabinski scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grabinski has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Rykse, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Tri County Area's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Lakeview, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri County Area will take on Zion Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeview, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Holton at 7:00 p.m. Holton is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
