Evan Daxenbichler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Daxenbichler was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Nolan Ryan and Hunter Long did most of the damage at the plate: Ryan went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Long went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
