After flying high against Churubusco last Thursday, Westview came back down to earth. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Garrett Railroaders on Tuesday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Railroaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Westview was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-15.
Yoder Kloie paced Westview's offense, picking up 16 kills. Kloie got some help from Alayah Hostetler and her 12 assists. Addison (Addy) Kauffman controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Garrett found their leader in freshman Kaylee Gaar, who had 20 digs and one assist. Gaar is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Emma Loeffler also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Westview moved to 9-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Garrett, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
