Desert Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  an   8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hesperia Christian Patriots. Even though they lost, the Knights' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

  Shane Idelman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Those  two  hits gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hayden Wiser, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Desert Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4-2. As for Hesperia Christian, the  win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-6.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Christian will take on Santa Clarita Christian at 3:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. This will  be Desert Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Hesperia Christian, they will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Riverside Prep at 3:15  p.m.  on April 1.
