The Ontario Jaguars stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Baldwin Park for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-18 win at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-7.
Ontario found their leader in underclassman Mariah Myricks, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 steals. That's the first time this season that Myricks scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Grace Poulava, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Ontario pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Baldwin Park, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
Ontario will face off against Montclair at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Montclair will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Baldwin Park, they will head out on the road to take on Chaffey at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Chaffey presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Baldwin Park in California (Chaffey is ranked 409th, while Baldwin Park is ranked 1279th).
