Walker Martin of
Eaton (Colo.) leads high school baseball nationally with 16 home runs this season according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps. The Arkansas-bound senior hit home runs in nine consecutive games this season, one shy of the national record. Since that streak was snapped, Martin’s bat has come alive again and he has hit seven bombs in the last four games for the 18-0 Reds.
Henry Ford of
Baylor (Chattanooga, Tenn.) is second in the nation with 14 home runs. The senior is hitting .450 and will play his college baseball at Virginia. Four times this season Ford has gone long multiple times in the same game, all wins.
Twins
Jacob Parker and
JoJo Parker have turned
Purvis (Miss.) into home run central this season. The sophomores are both committed to Mississippi State and Jacob has hit 12 home runs for the Tornadoes while JoJo has 11. Four times this season they have homered in the same game for the 25-5 squad.
