The Sierra Stallions will be playing at home against the Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Sierra can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-31 win over Sand Creek.
Sierra got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Shetara Roebuck out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Roebuck hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Briana Torres, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Even though Pueblo Centennial has not done well against Pueblo South recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Pueblo Centennial came out on top against Pueblo South by a score of 29-18.
Sierra's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Pueblo Centennial, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.
Sierra didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Pueblo Centennial when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 38-32 win. Will Sierra repeat their success, or does Pueblo Centennial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
