The Alhambra Moors will head out to square off against the Covina Colts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Alhambra will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Alhambra gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Bell Gardens. The result was nothing new for the Moors, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Aiden Kim spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Marc Hernandez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. George Jimenez was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Alhambra always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bell Gardens only posted an OBP of .190.
Meanwhile, Covina never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against Wilson as they made off with a 9-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.
C. Guzman looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on R. Silva, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Covina: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of D. Bowers, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Alhambra's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Covina, their record now sits at 7-5.
