The Cloverdale Eagles can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 73-29 victory over Willits at home. The victory was familiar territory for Cloverdale who now have nine in a row.
Leading Cloverdale to victory were Amara Galvan and Tylie Hatcher. Galvan scored 19 points along with two steals, while Hatcher scored 28 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Galvan has scored all season. Gissell Bucio was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Despite the loss, Willits still got an impressive performance from Hazel Cooke, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Cooke has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecily Potter, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Cloverdale pushed their record up to 19-4 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.7 points. As for Willits, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-17.
Cloverdale will play host again and welcome Upper Lake, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cloverdale is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season. Willits does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
