The West Campus Warriors stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 58-19 win over Foothill at home. The victory was nothing new for West Campus as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Leading West Campus to victory were Loismary Justice and Leilani Edinburgh. Justice scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Edinburgh scored 18 points along with seven assists and two steals. Edinburgh hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Talia Quady, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Foothill lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joyce Runner, who scored seven points. Zeniah Thompson was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
West Campus' win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-6. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.3 points. As for Foothill, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
West Campus will face off against the Nighthawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Natomas will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 871st, while the Warriors are ranked 329th). As for Foothill, they will be playing at home against the Lancers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
