On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on DaRailly Dunlap, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Sharday Thomas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Hazelwood West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley Park only posted a batting average of .111.
Mehlville's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hazelwood West, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
