St. Bernard's got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Madelyn Shanahan out in front who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Laila Florvilus, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, McKinleyville came up short against Arcata on Thursday and fell 46-33. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McKinleyville in their matchups with Arcata: they've now lost three in a row.
St. Bernard's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.7 points. As for McKinleyville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
St. Bernard's didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against McKinleyville when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 37-31 victory.
