In what's become a running theme this season, the Lick-Wilmerding Tigers gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They really took it to Marin Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-35 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Lick-Wilmerding who now have four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lick-Wilmerding to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauryn Lacap, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Lacap hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Hailey Moy was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lick-Wilmerding has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Marin Academy, they dropped their record down to 10-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Lick-Wilmerding will be playing at home against University at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. University presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lick-Wilmerding in California (University is ranked 101st, while Lick-Wilmerding is ranked 241st). Marin Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Credo at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th.
