Merrillville barely beat Kouts the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates' defense stepped up to hand the Mustangs & Fillies a 4-0 shutout on Monday. The game marked Merrillville's most dominant victory of the season.

Merrillville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Kouts, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
