The Constitution Generals were the 42-37 winner over the Parkway Center City Bulldogs when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Constitution took a 46-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkway Center City on Monday.
Parkway Center City found their leader in underclassman Jessica Canty, who almost dropped a triple-double on 32 points, nine rebounds, and 12 steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Canty has scored at least a third of Parkway Center City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Weaver, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and five blocks.
Constitution bumped their record down to 3-7 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.5 points per game. As for Parkway Center City, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Constitution will be playing in front of their home fans against Mastery Charter Hardy Williams at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Mastery Charter Hardy Williams is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Parkway Center City, they will head out on the road to take on Conwell-Egan Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
