Basketball Game Preview: Tehachapi Warriors vs. Rosamond Roadrunners

Tehachapi has gone 8-0 against Rosamond recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tehachapi Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the Rosamond Roadrunners at 6:00 p.m. Tehachapi will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Friday, Tehachapi didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Monache, but they still walked away with a 38-34 victory. The 38-point effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Riley Walden and Koree Rodden were among the main playmakers for Tehachapi as the former posted 16 points and the latter almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. The match was Walden's eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rosamond). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 64-20 win over California City. The Roadrunners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Rosamond and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Tehachapi, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything came up roses for Tehachapi against Rosamond in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 49-18 victory. Does Tehachapi have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rosamond turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
