On Wednesday, the St. Francis Sharks beat the Bishop Montgomery Knights 5-2.
  Joaquin Munoz looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks).  Evan Dyer relieved him and did a solid job,   striking out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Nash Horton was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  JR Pedro Ibarra, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  RBI and a  double.
 St. Francis is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. As for Bishop Montgomery, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost seven of their last nine matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record  this season.
 St. Francis will  face off against Pacific Grove at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. St. Francis is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.4  runs per game this season. As for Bishop Montgomery, they will be playing at home against Paraclete at 3:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
