The Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Hamburg with points to spare, taking the game 42-25. Given Schuylkill Haven's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Hamburg is ranked 472nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Karlee Feger was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Dress, who scored eight points.
Schuylkill Haven's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Hamburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Schuylkill Haven will head out on the road to face off against Minersville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Minersville's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Schuylkill Haven's offense will have their work cut out for Schuylkill Haven. As for Hamburg, they will be playing at home against Fleetwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
