Clarion-Limestone's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Beggs, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten assists. The dominant performance gave Beggs a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Corinne Hepfl, who went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Moniteau was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Slippery Rock. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 481st, while the Rockets are ranked 210th).
Clarion-Limestone will need focus on slowing down Sophia Fleeger, one of several Moniteau players who made an impact when they last played. She dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Fleeger continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Thompson, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.
Clarion-Limestone's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Moniteau, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Clarion-Limestone has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 36.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Moniteau struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
