The Brookwood Broncos are taking a road trip to face off against the Osborne Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brookwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
If Brookwood beats Osborne with 12 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Brookwood beat Duluth on Monday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

Brookwood got a great performance from Joe Soto as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Soto has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brookwood let Mason Archie and Boomer Rogozinski run wild. Archie went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs, while Rogozinski scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. What's more, Rogozinski posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Malachi Mingo also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Brookwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Osborne earned an 11-8 win over Paulding County on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Cardinals have won by exactly three runs.
Jaden Hall was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Chris Blunt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Osborne pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Brookwood, their record now sits at 9-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Brookwood has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Osborne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
