Greenfield and Everett Alvarez are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long. The Bruins will be playing at home against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenfield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
On Friday, Greenfield beat King City 5-2.
Damian Martinez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Martinez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Fabian Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Everett Alvarez never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Pajaro Valley on Saturday. They blew past the Grizzlies 19-3.
Like Greenfield, Everett Alvarez also got a great game from a two-way player: Cody Victoriano. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Victoriano was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.
In other batting news, Julian Hansen was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs.
Greenfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Everett Alvarez, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Greenfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Everett Alvarez in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
