The Hearts Academy Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Pinecrest Academy Paladins at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hearts Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
While Hearts Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over Victory Baptist on Friday.

Gavin Dyson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.8 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Jameson Wood was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chalie Bill, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Hearts Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Victory Baptist only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, Pinecrest Academy's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Monday. They fell just short of Lakeview Academy by a score of 5-4. The loss put an end to the Paladins' undefeated start to the season.
Liam McCavitt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Mateo Snyder also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Hearts Academy pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.8 runs. As for Pinecrest Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hearts Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. However, it's not like Pinecrest Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
