The St. Mary's Cardinals can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 76-28 victory over Creighton at home. The win was nothing new for St. Mary's as they're now sitting on five straight.
Alissa Brabec was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mya Hedstrom, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
St. Mary's pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Creighton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
St. Mary's will be playing in front of their home fans against Stuart on Thursday. Stuart will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 187th, while St. Mary's is ranked 40th). Creighton on the road again on Thursday and play against North Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully North Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Friday.
