String Theory the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Sayre Sabres at 3:15 p.m. on January 17th. The pair have allowed few points on average, (String Theory: 26.5, Sayre: 21.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
Last Wednesday, things could have been worse for String Theory, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 36-19 loss to South Philadelphia. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points String Theory has scored all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Sayre's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Samuel Fels by a score of 36-34.
Brionn Veal-Coston put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 41.2% of Sayre's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Mischa Ferguson-Bell was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five assists and four steals.
String Theory's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Sayre, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.
String Theory was able to grind out a solid win over Sayre in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 48-37. Will String Theory repeat their success, or does Sayre have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
