The Girard College Cavaliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 53-4 loss at the hands of New Foundations. Girard College has not had much luck with New Foundations recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Girard College got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Autumn Crosby and
Celise Purnell, who each put up two points. Purnell also led the team in rebounds with nine.
Girard College bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for New Foundations, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Girard College will stay at home for another game and welcome Morrisville at 4:00 p.m. on December 7th. New Foundations will take on Little Flower Catholic for Girls at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
