After losing to the Lititz Christian Eagles the last time they met, Covenant Christian Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Covenant Christian Academy came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 39-32 on Tuesday.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lauren Hurst, who scored five points along with seven steals. Najya Vega was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two blocks.
Covenant Christian Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Lititz Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Covenant Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lititz Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Dayspring Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
