Eureka has gone a perfect 6-0 against South Fork recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Loggers will face off against the Cubs at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eureka has seven straight victories, South Fork has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Eureka's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Del Norte by a score of 4-0.

Ryder Mitchell made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Garrett Levitt was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Bryson Burns was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, South Fork didn't have quite enough to beat Ferndale on Thursday and fell 14-13.
Shawn Schmidt made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Mason Bell, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
South Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Eureka, their record now sits at 18-6.
Eureka got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2024 against South Fork by a conclusive 10-1 score. Do the Loggers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cubs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
