The Tulelake Honkers lost against the Butte Valley Bulldogs two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Tulelake fell 39-30 to Butte Valley. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tulelake in their matchups with Butte Valley: they've now lost seven in a row.
Tulelake lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gissell Hernandez, who scored four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandra Perez, who scored three points along with two blocks.
Tulelake's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Butte Valley, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home.
Tulelake on the road again on Saturday and play against Hayfork at 4:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Butte Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Surprise Valley at 5:00 p.m.
