The More Knights made easy work of the Summit Tahoma Tigers on Monday and carried off a 12-3 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Zep Cortese made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of More's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't). Cortese was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
