The Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Downey.
Downey's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Symantha Barnett, who almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 steals. Another player making a difference was Olivia Vaughn, who scored 20 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Capistrano Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Downey, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Capistrano Valley Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Woodbridge at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th. As for Downey, they will face off against Cypress at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
