Sherman Oaks CES waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Reseda Regents 17-7. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Regents back in March, they had to take a 4-1 loss.
Nicholas Bilicic was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Colin Hauser was incredible, going 4-for-5 with six RBI, two triples, and two runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Steinbach, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one run.

Sherman Oaks CES pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Reseda, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 10-6.
Coming up, Sherman Oaks CES will venture away from home to challenge Panorama at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Reseda, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-0 loss against Vaughn on the 3rd.
