The Stevenson Pirates will face off against the North Monterey County Condors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stevenson is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
Stevenson barely beat Everett Alvarez the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Stevenson blew past Everett Alvarez 13-3 on Friday. Considering the Pirates have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Stevenson let Reggie Bell and Tono Borgomini run wild. Bell scored four runs and stole five bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Borgomini scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Stevenson is undefeated when Bell posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Jacob Hall was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, North Monterey County narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Greenfield 3-2. The Condors haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Jered Kallenberger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in February.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyler Bladwin, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Julian Barajas, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Stevenson pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for North Monterey County, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Everything went Stevenson's way against North Monterey County when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Stevenson made off with a 13-0 victory. Will Stevenson repeat their success, or does North Monterey County has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
