Parkway Center City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while Conwell-Egan Catholic is ranked 178th).
Last Monday, Parkway Center City earned a 46-34 victory over Constitution.
Parkway Center City found their leader in underclassman Jessica Canty, who almost dropped a triple-double on 32 points, nine rebounds, and 12 steals. That's the first time this season that Canty pulled down eight or more rebounds. Adrian Weaver was another key contributor, scoring five points along with ten rebounds and five blocks.
Conwell-Egan Catholic posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Little Flower Catholic for Girls 68-32 on the road. Conwell-Egan Catholic pushed the score to 59-26 by the end of the third, a deficit Little Flower Catholic for Girls had no chance of recovering from.
Lily Milewski continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Aizen, who scored five points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Parkway Center City's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Parkway Center City have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Conwell-Egan Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28 rebounds per game.
