The Mercer Mustangs can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 48-14 win over Commodore Perry. Given Mercer's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Panthers are ranked 717th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mercer pushed their record up to 9-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Commodore Perry, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mercer is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. As for Commodore Perry, they will take on the Steelers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
