The Collegium Charter Cougar scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 53-34. That 19 points margin sets a new team best for Collegium Charter this season.
Collegium Charter found their leader in underclassman Nasira Towles, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Towles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kori Beasley, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Collegium Charter pushed their record up to 6-11 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collegium Charter will square off against The Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Renaissance Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
