Baseball Game Preview: Tatum Eagles vs. West Rusk Raiders

For the second straight game, Tatum will face off against West Rusk. The Eagles will face off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tatum will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Tatum barely beat West Rusk the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 18-1 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won seven matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Colt Bullard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Tucker Anthony was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Adcock, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four runs.

Tatum hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 11 consecutive games.

Tatum's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for West Rusk, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-10.

West Rusk's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tatum hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355.
